Each member brings a unique strength, from specialising in ADHD and autism assessments to delivering parent workshops and interventions, all united by our mission: to put families first.
Jia runs talks and parent education sessions that communicates the psychology of executive functions, neurobiology behind neurodivergence and more. She beliefs psychoeducation is part of holistic care for families with ADHD and autism.
Apart from academic qualifications, Jia has a lived experience of being a parent to her AuDHD children, as well as her own journey with ADHD.

Dr Holly Hester is a highly trained paediatrician. She has international experience in the care of children and adolescents with endocrine, and general paediatric conditions.
She completed her medical degree and specialist paediatric and subspecialty endocrinology training in London, United Kingdom, working across several leading tertiary centres including St George’s Hospital, King’s College London, and Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
In 2022, Dr Hester worked as a Consultant in Paediatric Diabetes at Leeds Children’s Hospital, a centre recognised for its leadership in advocating for government-funded access to diabetes technology.
Dr Shabir is a highly experienced paediatrician with expertise in Developmental Paediatrics, General Paediatrics, and Paediatric Gastroenterology.
He completed the majority of his paediatric training in Perth and further enhanced his skills with advanced fellowships, including a Paediatric Gastroenterology fellowship at the prestigious Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, and a Paediatric Gastroenterology and Liver Transplant fellowship at Queensland Children’s Hospital.
Since returning to Perth, Dr Shabir has worked extensively in Child Development Centres, where he has focused on managing complex neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and behavioural challenges.
Dr Shabir brings both warmth and a depth of expertise to Smart Paeds, where he is highly valued by both the clinical team and the families he supports.
Dr Sharma is a dedicated paediatrician with over 14 years of experience, having had the privilege of working in regional and tertiary centres across Australia, the UK, and India. His medical career is characterized by a commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of children, from newborns to adolescents, through compassionate and evidence-based care.
His expertise encompasses General Paediatrics, Neonatology, and Developmental Paediatrics, with a particular emphasis on managing complex medical conditions and supporting children facing developmental challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Dr. Sharma is passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and has successfully led multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and holistic care.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he is actively engaged in medical education and mentorship, striving to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. His qualifications include a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General Paediatrics, a Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) from the UK, and a Fellowship in Neonatology, reflecting his dedication to continuous learning and excellence in paediatric care.
Dr Amber is a highly qualified and experienced paediatrician with a dedicated focus helping children thrive with neurodevelopmental challenges. Her reputation is built on her expertise and compassionate approach.
As a paediatrician, Dr Tahir diagnoses and treats a wide range of medical and developmental conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents, and is certified for best practice assessment and diagnosis of Autism from UWA.She believes in taking a holistic approach to paediatric medicine, considering not only the physical health of children but also their emotional well-being and overall development. Dr Tahir’s friendly and empathetic nature helps her establish a rapport with her young patients and their families, making them feel comfortable and at ease.
Dr. Jehangir provides comprehensive healthcare services for children from birth to 16 years of age. He earned his MBBS from King Edward Medical College and Mayo Hospital in Lahore. Following this, he specialized in paediatric medicine at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg, one of the largest hospitals globally, with over 3,200 beds. Dr Jehangir completed his Diploma of Child Health (DCH) in 1994 and became a Fellow of the College of Physicians of South Africa in 1998. After practicing for two years as a specialist consultant pediatrician in Johannesburg, he migrated to Australia in 2001.
In 2004, the Royal Australasian College recognized his South African training and awarded him the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP). Since then, Dr Jehangir has worked as a consultant pediatrician in Australia and has contributed to the education of medical students at The University of Western Australia and the University of Notre Dame (Fremantle).
At St John of God Mt Lawley Hospital, Dr. Jehangir provides neonatology and private outpatient services, where he serves as the Head of the Department of Neonatology. He also holds the same position at Bentley Health Service.
